Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum processors at sub-Kelvin temperatures

- Collaborate with hardware engineers on qubit stability improvements
- Publish findings in Nature Physics and IEEE Quantum journals
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubits or ion traps
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Experience securing government research grants
- Clearance for DOE/NIST quantum research facilities
