Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Develop error-corrected quantum architectures for commercial viability
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating theoretical models into practical systems
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Secure and manage quantum computing patents
- Collaborate with government and industry partners on quantum security initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum mechanics and programming
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault tolerance
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and superposition principles
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory
- Ability to secure government-level security clearance preferred
