Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance and healthcare
- Lead cross-functional teams developing quantum-resistant encryption protocols
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Collaborate with NASA and MIT on quantum-optimized space exploration systems
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Secure $2M+ in NSF/DARPA research grants annually
- Develop proprietary quantum error-correction methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
- Proven track record of translating theory to practical implementations
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
