Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning challenges
- Lead prototype development of quantum processors operating at 50+ qubit stability
- Publish high-impact research in Nature Physics and IEEE journals
- Collaborate with MIT and Caltech on quantum error correction frameworks
- Secure $5M+ in DoE/NIST grants for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent field (post-doc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubit systems
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, color codes)
- Security clearance eligibility for federal research projects
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware integration
