Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithms with 99.9% fidelity targets for 2026 applications
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop error-corrected qubit architectures
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and industry whitepapers
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Develop proprietary quantum simulation frameworks for industrial partners
- Secure $5M+ in government and private research funding annually
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published peer-reviewed papers in quantum information science
- Expertise in quantum error correction and topological qubits
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Track record of securing federal research grants (NSF, DoE, DARPA)
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy benchmarks
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and RF control electronics
