Responsibilities
- Architect 2D Rendering Engines: Design and implement high-performance 2D rendering pipelines using HTML5 Canvas, SVG, and WebGL to create fluid, responsive animations.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize rendering performance to ensure 60fps animations even on lower-end devices, reducing load times and improving SEO scores.
- Interactive UI Development: Build complex interactive components, such as drag-and-drop interfaces, data visualization tools, and gamified web elements.
- Cross-Browser Compatibility: Ensure consistent behavior and visual fidelity across all major browsers and devices, including mobile and tablet.
- Code Review & Mentorship: Conduct rigorous code reviews and mentor junior developers on best practices for 2D graphics and front-end architecture.
- Creative Collaboration: Partner with product managers and UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into pixel-perfect, functional code.
- Technical Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for custom rendering libraries and internal tools to ensure knowledge transfer and scalability.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Fine Arts, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in front-end development with a specific focus on 2D graphics and animation.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and modern CSS frameworks. Deep understanding of the Canvas API, SVG manipulation, and WebGL (Three.js or Pixi.js).
- Performance: Strong ability to profile and optimize rendering performance, including memory management and GPU usage.
- Tools: Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and design tools (Figma, Adobe XD).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
