Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies with 2026 commercialization potential
- Develop strategic innovation roadmaps for quantum computing, AI ethics, and climate tech
- Facilitate cross-disciplinary workshops with C-suite executives and technical teams
- Create high-fidelity prototypes of futuristic concepts using AR/VR and simulation tools
- Publish thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals and industry forums
- Manage $2M+ annual innovation budget for experimental projects
- Mentor junior futurists and build external partnerships with research institutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in strategic innovation or technology forecasting role
- Published research on exponential technologies (quantum, biotech, AI)
- Expertise in scenario planning and trend analysis methodologies
- Proficiency in innovation frameworks (e.g., Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
- Track record of commercializing futuristic concepts
- Strong background in sustainable development and ethical AI
