Responsibilities
- Lead multi-disciplinary research initiatives to forecast technology, economic, and societal trends through 2026
- Develop and maintain the company's official 'Future Horizon' strategic framework
- Present quarterly trend briefings to executive leadership and board members
- Design scenario-planning models for emerging technologies (quantum computing, AGI, biotech convergence)
- Partner with product development teams to integrate future insights into innovation roadmaps
- Represent the company at global futurist conferences and policy forums
- Manage a $2M annual research budget with elite academic and private research partners
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 8 years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist research
- Published author in peer-reviewed futurist journals or industry white papers
- Expertise in predictive analytics, scenario planning methodologies, and horizon scanning
- Proven track record of implementing future-oriented strategies in Fortune 500 environments
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies and their societal implications
- Exceptional presentation skills with experience addressing C-level audiences
- Portfolio showcasing 3+ successful 5+ year strategic foresight projects
