This role blends deep technical acumen with strategic foresight, shaping how organizations navigate the convergence of AI, biotech, and quantum systems. You'll lead cross-functional initiatives while mentoring a team of innovators in our state-of-the-art San Francisco hub.
Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (quantum computing, AGI, neuro interfaces) to develop 5-10 year strategic roadmaps
- Partner with C-suite executives to integrate futuristic insights into corporate vision and R&D priorities
- Lead scenario-planning workshops for disruptive market shifts in 2026+
- Author white papers and thought leadership on paradigm-altering technologies
- Design innovation frameworks for ethical AI adoption and human-machine symbiosis
- Mentor junior futurists and collaborate with MIT/Stanford research consortia
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, consulting, or R&D leadership
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging domains: quantum AI, synthetic biology, or neurotech
- Proven track record of translating complex concepts into executable business strategies
- PhD or Master's in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Published work in IEEE Nature or equivalent peer-reviewed journals
- Experience with scenario planning tools (e.g., Foresight Platform, Delphi method)
- Strong network with DARPA, NSF, or similar innovation ecosystems
