Job Description
Are you ready to define the future of computation? Apex Horizon Labs is pioneering the Project 2026 initiative—a revolutionary leap into the realm of post-silicon computing. We are seeking a visionary Senior Quantum Architect to lead our engineering efforts in building the systems that will power the next decade of humanity's most complex problems.
In this role, you won't just write code; you will architect the very fabric of reality as we understand it. You will bridge the gap between theoretical physics and practical engineering, guiding a world-class team of researchers and developers toward a goal that seems like science fiction today.
Why join Project 2026?
- Impact: Your work will directly influence the trajectory of global computing infrastructure.
- Innovation: Work with the most cutting-edge hardware and software stacks available today.
- Equity: Competitive stake in the company's success as we approach the 2026 operationalization target.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and implementation of scalable quantum error correction protocols.
- Collaborate with theoretical physicists to translate quantum mechanical models into executable code.
- Define the software stack for quantum-classical hybrid computing environments.
- Mentor junior architects and quantum engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Oversee the integration of quantum processors into cloud-native infrastructures.
- Conduct rigorous performance benchmarking and optimization of quantum circuits.
Qualifications
- PhD or Master's degree in Physics, Computer Science, or a related field with a focus on Quantum Information Science.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years specifically in quantum computing (using frameworks like Qiskit, Cirq, or PyQuil).
- Deep understanding of quantum algorithms, superposition, and entanglement.
- Strong proficiency in Python, C++, and cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams in high-stakes R&D environments.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
