Job Description
The Future of Finance is Here
We are seeking a visionary Senior Web3 Developer to join our elite team in San Francisco. Nexus Protocol Labs is building the next generation of decentralized finance (DeFi) infrastructure, and we need an expert who understands the intricacies of blockchain architecture, smart contract security, and scalable dApp development.
In this role, you will lead the engineering efforts for our flagship protocol, bridging the gap between complex cryptographic concepts and user-friendly experiences. If you are passionate about the Ethereum ecosystem, Solidity, and the future of the open web, we want to hear from you.
Why Join Us?
- Competitive Compensation: $160k - $230k base salary plus equity/bonus.
- Remote-First Culture: Work from anywhere in the US with a San Francisco HQ.
- Impact: Build technology that powers billions in value across the crypto ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Smart Contract Engineering: Design, develop, and audit complex smart contracts in Solidity and Rust for high-stakes DeFi applications.
- System Architecture: Design robust, scalable, and secure blockchain architectures that can handle high throughput and low latency.
- Security Audits: Proactively identify vulnerabilities within our codebase and implement best-in-class security protocols to prevent hacks and exploits.
- Gas Optimization: Write efficient code that minimizes transaction costs and maximizes user returns.
- Integration: Integrate third-party oracle services, cross-chain bridges, and Layer 2 solutions into our ecosystem.
- Mentorship: Guide junior developers and conduct code reviews to maintain high engineering standards across the team.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years specifically in Web3, Blockchain, or Cryptography.
- Technical Stack: Deep proficiency in Solidity, Rust, and Go. Experience with Ethereum, Polygon, or Solana is required.
- Frontend Knowledge: Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks like React or Next.js for building web interfaces.
- Security: Familiarity with common blockchain security risks (reentrancy attacks, overflow/underflow) and tools like MythX or Slither.
- Education: BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Cryptography: Strong understanding of cryptographic principles (hashing, digital signatures, zero-knowledge proofs).
