Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify disruptive technologies with 2026 commercialization potential
- Develop and implement innovation roadmaps aligned with emerging societal, economic, and technological shifts
- Champion cross-functional innovation initiatives between R&D, product, and strategy teams
- Author thought leadership publications and present at global forums on future tech trajectories
- Design and execute scenario-planning exercises for 2026 market transformations
- Manage a $5M innovation portfolio with quarterly strategic reviews and pivots
- Mentor a team of futurists and innovation analysts using proprietary foresight methodologies
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic innovation, futures research, or technology foresight with Fortune 500 experience
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field; PhD preferred
- Proven track record of forecasting tech trends with documented market impact (e.g., AI adoption, quantum computing)
- Expertise in foresight methodologies: Delphi, scenario planning, weak signal analysis
- Deep knowledge of emerging tech stacks: AGI, quantum computing, synthetic biology, neurotech
- Executive-level presentation skills with experience to C-suite and boards
- Published author in peer-reviewed futures or innovation journals
- Proficiency in innovation management platforms (e.g., Innosight, Qmarkets)
