Responsibilities
- Analyze global megatrends (AI ethics, biotech acceleration, climate resilience) to identify business opportunities through 2030
- Develop horizon-scanning frameworks using predictive modeling and scenario planning methodologies
- Partner with R&D teams to prototype future-proof solutions aligned with long-term strategic goals
- Present trend forecasts to executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders through compelling narratives
- Lead workshops to embed future literacy across departments and build organizational foresight capabilities
- Monitor geopolitical shifts and technological disruptions to maintain competitive advantage
- Author thought leadership pieces positioning Horizon Dynamics as a future-industry authority
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategy consulting, innovation labs, or corporate futurism roles
- Expertise in horizon scanning tools (e.g., Delphi method, STEEP analysis, causal layered analysis)
- Proven track record translating complex future scenarios into executable business strategies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI implications)
- Exceptional storytelling abilities with executive-level presentation experience
- Published thought leadership in futurism or strategy publications (Harvard Business Review, Wired, etc.)
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., AC/FS, APF) strongly preferred
