Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 3-5 year strategic foresight frameworks for emerging technologies and market shifts
- Lead cross-functional scenario-planning workshops to identify opportunities and risks in 2026+ landscapes
- Produce trend reports and white papers on disruptive innovations (AI, quantum computing, biotech, etc.)
- Advise executive leadership on future-proofing business models and investment priorities
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs to forecast paradigm shifts
- Design and launch experimental initiatives to test future market hypotheses
- Mentor junior strategists in futures thinking methodologies and trend analysis
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futuristics, Strategy, Technology, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or future-focused planning
- Proven track record of translating trend analysis into commercial strategy
- Expertise in scenario planning, horizon scanning, and systems thinking
- Deep knowledge of emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex futures to diverse audiences
- Certification in foresight methodologies (e.g., CFCS) strongly preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating published foresight work or implemented future strategies
