Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year innovation roadmaps for sustainable tech integration
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping 2026-ready solutions
- Analyze emerging tech trends (AI ethics, quantum computing, biotech)
- Secure strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government bodies
- Present innovation frameworks to C-suite and external stakeholders
- Manage $2M+ annual R&D budget for experimental projects
- Drive adoption of circular economy principles in product development
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech strategy or R&D leadership
- Master's degree in Engineering, Data Science, or Business
- Proven track record in scaling disruptive innovations
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains
- Experience with futures methodologies (horizon scanning, scenario planning)
- Certification in Agile/Scrum and project management
- Strong network within Austin's innovation ecosystem
- Published thought leadership in tech journals
