Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures targeting 2026 deployment milestones
- Lead cross-functional teams of quantum physicists, materials scientists, and software engineers
- Develop proprietary quantum error-correction protocols for 1000+ qubit systems
- Optimize cryogenic cooling and control systems at millikelvin temperatures
- Establish quantum security frameworks for next-gen communications infrastructure
- Drive patent development in quantum hardware and topological qubit technologies
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in superconducting qubit fabrication and control systems
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum error correction or fault tolerance
- Experience leading $10M+ quantum hardware development projects
- Mastery of quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and classical HPC integration
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
- Security clearance eligibility or DOE/NSTC quantum credentials
- Track record of delivering quantum computing milestones ahead of schedule
