- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with 3-5 year market impact
- Present strategic insights to C-suite executives and board members quarterly
- Mentor junior researchers in futures methodology and emerging technology assessment
- Oversee compliance with evolving international tech governance frameworks
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or R&D leadership in Fortune 500 tech
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies (quantum, AI, biotech)
- Published thought leadership in IEEE or Nature Futures journal preferred
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Strategic Innovation Management
- Deep understanding of global tech policy landscapes (US/EU/Asia)
- Experience with scenario planning and technology impact assessment frameworks
- Fluency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and Python
