Responsibilities
- Anticipate and analyze emerging technology trends (AI, quantum computing, biotech, etc.) through market research and horizon scanning
- Develop strategic technology roadmaps aligning with 2026 business objectives and market demands
- Lead cross-functional workshops to identify future opportunities and innovation gaps
- Present foresight insights to executive leadership and board members with data-driven recommendations
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and research labs
- Author thought leadership publications and speak at industry conferences
- Mentor R&D teams on future-focused innovation methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D, or innovation management
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience with futures research methodologies (scenario planning, Delphi technique)
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (e.g., generative AI, neurotech, sustainable tech)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to influence C-level executives
- Published thought leadership in technology or innovation journals
- Experience leading global cross-functional teams
