Responsibilities
- Develop and implement ethical AI frameworks aligned with emerging global standards (ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI RMF)
- Conduct bias audits and impact assessments for high-stakes AI systems in regulated industries
- Collaborate with product teams to embed ethical considerations into the full development lifecycle
- Represent Nexus Futures at international AI governance forums and contribute to policy development
- Lead cross-functional working groups including legal, engineering, and social scientists
- Author thought leadership papers on responsible AI adoption and publish in peer-reviewed journals
- mentor junior ethicists and build internal ethical AI certification programs
Qualifications
- PhD in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of applied AI ethics experience
- Proven track record of auditing complex AI systems in regulated industries (healthcare/finance preferred)
- Deep expertise in global AI governance frameworks (EU AI Act, US Blueprint for an AI Bill of Rights)
- Strong programming skills (Python/R) with experience in bias detection libraries (AIF360, Fairlearn)
- Exceptional communication abilities translating complex ethical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Published research in top-tier AI ethics journals or conferences (NeurIPS, FAccT, AAAI)
- Certification in AI ethics governance (e.g., IBM AI Ethics, Google Responsible AI)
