Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning of emerging technologies (2026-2030) and assess commercial viability
- Develop strategic technology roadmaps aligned with market disruption forecasts
- Partner with engineering teams to prototype quantum/AI-driven solutions
- Secure 5+ strategic partnerships with research institutions and startups
- Present quarterly tech disruption briefings to the executive board
- Manage $500k+ annual innovation budget with ROI-driven allocation
- Mentor a cross-disciplinary team of futurists and data scientists
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech strategy or R&D leadership with Fortune 500 experience
- Expertise in at least two of: AI ethics, quantum computing, or synthetic biology
- Proven track record of launching disruptive tech products
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Published research in IEEE Nature or equivalent tier journals
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants
- Deep understanding of tech policy implications for 2026
