Responsibilities
- Develop and execute technology roadmaps aligned with 2026+ industry trends and market demands
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in emerging domains (quantum AI, synthetic biology, decentralized systems)
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions, government labs, and innovation hubs
- Conduct horizon scanning and scenario planning to identify disruptive technologies
- Translate complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies
- Secure and manage innovation grants totaling $10M+ annually
- Mentor a team of 8+ technologists and futurists
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 10+ years experience in technology strategy or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, generative AI, neurotech, or climate tech
- Exceptional analytical and scenario-planning capabilities
