- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and validating emerging technologies (quantum, AI, biotech)
- Conduct competitive analysis and scenario planning for disruptive tech adoption
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech pioneers
- Create executive-level briefings on tech disruption risks and opportunities
- Drive innovation workshops to cultivate internal 'future-thinking' capabilities
- Manage R&D budget allocation for high-impact experimental projects
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with proven impact on future-tech initiatives
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum computing, AI ethics, neurotech)
- Experience developing 5+ year strategic roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Strong background in technology forecasting and scenario modeling
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies preferred
- Published thought leadership in tech innovation or futurism
- Proficiency in strategic planning tools (e.g., Horizons Framework, Technology Radar)
