Responsibilities
- Analyze horizon-scanning data from quantum computing, AI ethics, and biotech to inform 5-year innovation roadmaps
- Develop strategic partnerships with academic institutions and startups for early-stage technology adoption
- Lead cross-functional task forces to prototype and validate disruptive solutions (e.g., neural interfaces, sustainable tech)
- Present technology foresight frameworks to executive stakeholders and board members
- Establish KPIs for technology maturity and ROI on future-focused initiatives
- Monitor geopolitical/regulatory shifts affecting technology deployment timelines
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in emerging tech roles
- Proven track record in scaling R&D initiatives from concept to commercialization
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Futures Studies, or MBA with tech specialization
- Deep expertise in at least two future-critical domains: quantum systems, decentralized tech, or climate tech
- Executive-level presentation skills with ability to simplify complex technical concepts
- Certification in technology forecasting (e.g., Delphi method, scenario planning)
- Published thought leadership in technology futurism or innovation strategy
