As a thought leader in our organization, you'll conduct horizon scanning, analyze technological megatrends, and develop scenario-planning frameworks to navigate complex futures. Your insights will directly influence product development, market entry strategies, and sustainable growth initiatives across diverse industries including AI, biotech, and clean energy.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic innovation roadmaps for 2026-2030 timeframe
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify disruptive technologies and market shifts
- Design and facilitate scenario-planning workshops for executive stakeholders
- Collaborate with R&D teams to translate future trends into R&D priorities
- Establish KPIs for innovation maturity and track progress against strategic goals
- Present future forecasts and strategic recommendations to board members
- Build and maintain an external network of futurists, academics, and industry pioneers
- Drive cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering and product teams
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Innovation Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in strategic foresight or corporate innovation roles
- Proven track record of translating future trends into commercial opportunities
- Expertise in scenario planning, horizon scanning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex futures to diverse audiences
- Experience with AI/ML tools for trend prediction and data-driven forecasting
- Strong cross-functional leadership in technology-driven environments
- Published thought leadership in futures or innovation publications
