Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps for emerging sectors including AI ethics and quantum commercialization
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive trends and patent opportunities
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering and product teams
- Present strategic foresight reports to executive stakeholders and investors
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Mentor junior researchers in future-focused methodologies
- Manage $2M+ R&D portfolio for experimental technology incubation
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Strategy, Futures Studies, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in technology consulting or corporate R&D with futures planning experience
- Published research on emerging tech adoption patterns (IEEE/Foresight journals)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: AI governance, quantum computing, synthetic biology
- Proven track record of commercializing futuristic concepts (patents or acquisitions)
- Experience leading cross-continental innovation teams
- Certification in Foresight Methodologies (e.g., CFP) or equivalent
