Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering: Conduct interviews and workshops with stakeholders to elicit detailed business requirements and functional specifications.
- Process Modeling: Create and maintain detailed process maps, use case diagrams, and workflow models using industry-standard tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
- Data Analysis: Analyze current business processes and data flows to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Documentation: Develop comprehensive documentation including BRD (Business Requirement Documents), FRD (Functional Requirement Documents), and technical specifications.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between technical teams (developers, QA) and non-technical business units to ensure clear understanding of project goals.
- Testing Support: Assist in the quality assurance process by creating test cases and validating solutions against requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in business analysis, preferably in the fintech or consulting sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel (Advanced), and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Methodology: Solid understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon into business language.
- Availability: Must be available to work a minimum of 20-25 hours per week on-site or hybrid in New York.
