Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures leveraging qubit technologies (superconducting, photonic, topological)
- Develop error correction protocols and fault-tolerant quantum circuits for commercial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams integrating quantum accelerators with classical HPC systems
- Research and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning
- Architect secure quantum communication networks and hybrid quantum-classical cloud platforms
- Collaborate with government agencies and Fortune 500 companies on quantum adoption roadmaps
- Drive innovation in quantum software development frameworks and toolchains
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS + 5 years experience considered)
- 3+ years designing quantum computing systems or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in quantum error correction, fault tolerance, and qubit control systems
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation tools
- Strong background in distributed systems, high-performance computing, and cryogenic engineering
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals or conferences
- Experience securing SBIR/STTR grants or industry partnerships for quantum initiatives
- Certification in quantum computing architecture from recognized institutions
