Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world applications in cryptography, materials science, and optimization
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge theoretical models with quantum processor capabilities
- Publish peer-reviewed research and represent the company at international quantum conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and establish best practices for quantum software development lifecycle
- Secure government and industry partnerships for quantum computing initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years of research experience
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature Physics, PRX Quantum, etc.)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and circuit optimization
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence phenomena and mitigation strategies
- Proven track record of translating theoretical concepts into experimental implementations
- Experience with quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, trapped ion, photonic)
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex probability theory
