Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications
- Develop error-corrected quantum systems with >99.9% fidelity
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at conferences
- Secure $1M+ in government and industry grants
- Mentor PhD researchers and interns
- Collaborate with IBM, Google, and Microsoft quantum teams
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 5+ years of quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum frameworks
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault tolerance
- Expertise in superconducting or photonic qubit systems
- Strong Python/C++ programming skills
- Track record of securing research funding
