Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical industrial applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using 1000+ qubit systems
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Partner with Fortune 500 clients to solve intractable problems in logistics and drug discovery
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patents in top-tier journals
- Mentor cross-functional teams in quantum-classical hybrid computing paradigms
- Secure $2M+ in government/industry grants for quantum research initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 5+ years hands-on experience with quantum computing platforms (IBM, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum information theory
- Expertise in quantum machine learning and quantum cryptography protocols
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Proven track record of securing federal research grants (NSF, DOE, DARPA)
- Experience leading international quantum research consortia
