Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization
- Lead experimental validation of quantum error correction protocols
- Develop novel quantum hardware architectures using superconducting qubits
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to hybridize quantum-classical computing systems
- Secure $2M+ in annual research funding through NSF and DARPA grants
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and publish 4+ peer-reviewed papers annually
- Partner with Fortune 500 companies on quantum security implementations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (2020-2025)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with superconducting systems
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in Q#, Python, and quantum simulation frameworks (Qiskit/Cirq)
- Published work in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum conferences
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF/DARPA preferred)
- Strong background in cryogenic engineering and quantum control systems
