Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims on 1000+ qubit systems
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computation
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design quantum processors and control systems
- Publish top-tier research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $5M+ in government grants (DARPA, NSF) and industry partnerships
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information theory and experimental physics
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction (h-index >15)
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Expertise in quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, trapped ions, photonics)
- Strong background in linear algebra, group theory, and complexity theory
