Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives to overcome quantum decoherence and error correction challenges
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise-scale solutions
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present findings at international quantum computing conferences
- Partner with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit designs for next-generation processors
- Secure and manage research grants from NSF, DoD, and private quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and establish best practices for quantum software development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit design
- Proven track record of publishing in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature, Science, PRL)
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with high-performance computing environments and distributed quantum simulations
- Deep understanding of quantum information theory and entanglement protocols
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical quantum applications
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
