Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning
- Develop error correction protocols to enhance qubit stability and scalability
- Lead experimental research on superconducting and photonic quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure funding through federal grants and industry partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum computing education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics, linear algebra, and complexity theory
- Proven track record of publishing high-impact quantum computing research
- Expertise in at least one quantum hardware platform (superconducting, trapped ions, photonic)
- Strong background in machine learning and classical optimization algorithms
