Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in logistics, finance, and materials science
- Develop quantum error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant computing
- Lead cross-functional teams integrating quantum solutions with classical AI systems
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $5M+ in grants from NSF, DARPA, and private quantum consortia
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Advise Fortune 500 clients on quantum adoption roadmaps
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit design
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency with quantum simulators (QASM, Q#) and hardware (IBM Quantum, Rigetti)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and statistical mechanics
- Experience securing government research grants
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
