Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms solving complex optimization problems for 2026-era logistics and AI
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using superconducting qubit systems
- Collaborate with machine learning teams to develop quantum-classical hybrid neural networks
- Author breakthrough research papers for Nature Physics and IEEE Quantum journals
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA and NSF quantum computing grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum error correction methodologies
- Develop patentable quantum hardware architectures beyond current NISQ limitations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry R&D
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, color, LDPC)
- Deep understanding of quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, photonic, topological)
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
- Experience securing government quantum research funding
- Strong background in high-performance computing and parallelization
