Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Design and validate quantum circuits using IBM Qiskit and Google Cirq
- Collaborate with hardware teams to mitigate quantum decoherence effects
- Lead open-source contributions to quantum machine learning frameworks
- Mentor junior researchers and present findings at international conferences
- Secure research funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming languages (QASM, Q#)
- Expertise in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Publication record in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Proficiency with Python, TensorFlow Quantum, and PyTorch
- Strong background in error correction techniques
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
