Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols to enhance quantum system stability
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate quantum software with physical qubit systems
- Lead cross-functional research projects with international academic and industry partners
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications

Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or top-tier conferences
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong mathematical background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum computing platforms
- Ability to secure competitive research funding
