Role Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for defining the research roadmap, developing cutting-edge algorithms, and mentoring a world-class team of engineers. You will work at the intersection of theoretical computer science and practical application, ensuring our solutions are not just advanced today, but are future-proof for the coming decade.
Responsibilities
- Lead Research Initiatives: Spearhead the architectural design and implementation of advanced AI models, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and ethical AI standards.
- Innovation Strategy: Stay at the forefront of industry trends, specifically in Generative AI and Predictive Analytics, to integrate novel methodologies into our core stack.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior researchers and data scientists, fostering a culture of excellence, curiosity, and continuous learning within the R&D department.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers and engineering leads to translate complex research findings into production-ready software solutions.
- Publication & Thought Leadership: Author high-impact research papers and contribute to technical conferences to establish Apex Dynamics as a market leader.
Qualifications
- Education: PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field with a focus on AI/ML (or equivalent extensive industry experience).
- Technical Expertise: Deep proficiency in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and C++ with extensive experience in distributed computing and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of experience in machine learning research, including a proven track record of publishing in top-tier venues (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, etc.) or leading successful AI products.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional ability to tackle complex, open-ended problems and derive novel solutions in high-pressure environments.
- Communication: Superior verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
