Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering: Conduct comprehensive interviews and workshops to elicit detailed business requirements from stakeholders across various departments.
- Process Mapping & Analysis: Analyze current business processes and design efficient, scalable solutions using industry-standard tools like Visio or Lucidchart.
- Documentation: Create clear, concise, and accurate requirements documents, use cases, and functional specifications.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as a liaison between technical teams, product managers, and business units to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Data Analysis: Interpret complex data sets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Agile Support: Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Testing & Validation: Collaborate with QA teams to validate solutions against business requirements and ensure a smooth deployment.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Excel (Advanced), and experience with JIRA or similar project management tools.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and presentation skills; ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Methodology: Experience working within Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
- Location: Must be willing to work on-site in Houston, TX.
