Join a cross-disciplinary team architecting next-generation solutions for emerging industries. This role combines strategic foresight with hands-on prototyping in our state-of-the-art innovation lab. You'll collaborate with quantum computing researchers, biotech pioneers, and AI ethicists to develop market-ready frameworks that will define the next decade of technological advancement.
Our Austin campus offers unparalleled resources including nanotechnology labs, neuro-VR workstations, and dedicated quantum computing clusters. This position reports directly to our Chief Innovation Officer and includes equity participation in our spinoff ventures.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 5-year strategic roadmaps for emerging technology verticals
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineers, designers, and domain experts
- Conduct horizon scanning and scenario planning for disruptive market shifts
- Prototype and validate future-facing solutions in our R&D incubator
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and R&D centers
- Present innovation frameworks to C-suite executives and external stakeholders
- Mentor junior futurists through our Future Leaders program
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation management, or emerging technology
- Proven track record of launching market-defining products or services
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, biotech, AGI, etc.)
- Strong command of scenario planning methodologies and trend analysis
- Experience leading cross-disciplinary teams in fast-paced environments
- Published thought leadership in innovation or technology futurism
