You'll lead cross-functional teams in developing long-term scenarios, identify disruptive opportunities across AI, quantum computing, and biotechnology, and translate complex futures into actionable business strategies. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain 2026+ strategic foresight frameworks using horizon scanning, trend analysis, and scenario planning
- Lead high-impact workshops with C-suite executives to align organizational vision on emerging tech adoption
- Produce quarterly 'Future State' reports on disruptive forces affecting our industry vertical
- Architect innovation roadmaps for emerging domains (neuromorphic computing, synthetic biology, etc.)
- Collaborate with R&D to validate future-state concepts through prototype development and pilot programs
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs to track cutting-edge research
- Present foresight insights to board members and investors to inform long-term capital allocation decisions
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or technology strategy with Fortune 500 exposure
- Proven track record of developing and implementing multi-year future-state roadmaps
- Deep expertise in exponential technologies (AI/ML, quantum, synthetic biology, advanced robotics)
- Certification in foresight methodologies (e.g., Horizon Scanning, Delphi Technique) preferred
- Exceptional data storytelling skills with ability to visualize complex futures for diverse audiences
- Experience managing cross-functional teams across global R&D and business units
- Published thought leadership in future studies or technology strategy (IEEE, HBR, etc.)
- MBA or advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or relevant technical field
