Responsibilities
- Database Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain complex database schemas and data models using SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- Performance Tuning: Analyze and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and indexes to ensure maximum execution speed and efficiency.
- Data Integrity: Enforce data governance policies and implement robust backup and recovery strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, backend developers, and business analysts to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Query Optimization: Develop and refactor complex T-SQL and PL/SQL scripts to handle large-scale data processing.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for database structures, APIs, and technical processes.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience as a SQL Developer or Database Administrator.
- Technologies: Strong proficiency in T-SQL, PL/SQL, and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical skills with a proven track record of resolving complex database performance issues.
- Tools: Experience with ETL tools (SSIS, Talend) and data warehousing technologies (Snowflake, Azure Synapse).
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
