Responsibilities
- Develop 5-10 year technology roadmaps aligning with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions (AR/VR, quantum algorithms, etc.)
- Conduct competitive analysis and patent landscape reviews for emerging technologies
- Present strategic recommendations to investors and board members
- Manage $5M+ innovation budgets with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and research labs
- Mentor junior strategists in technology forecasting methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership
- Proven track record launching commercialized tech products (3+ major launches)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, biotech)
- Experience with agile methodologies and stage-gate processes
- Certification in technology foresight or innovation management preferred
- Strong financial modeling and budget management skills
- Published research or patents in emerging technologies
