Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 innovation roadmap using scenario planning, trend analysis, and technology convergence mapping
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Labs' prototyping next-gen solutions in quantum computing, synthetic biology, and advanced AI
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Partner with product teams to translate future visions into market-ready innovation portfolios
- Present strategic foresight findings to executive stakeholders and board members quarterly
- Establish industry thought leadership through white papers, keynote speeches, and patent filings
- Mentor a team of futurists and innovation analysts using structured forecasting methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategy consulting, corporate innovation, or futurism with demonstrable impact on multi-year transformation
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or equivalent discipline from top-tier institution
- Deep expertise in at least three emerging tech domains (quantum, neurotech, AI, climate tech, or synthetic biology)
- Proven track record of translating complex future scenarios into executable business strategies
- Proficiency in strategic foresight tools (Horizon Scanning, Delphi Method, Causal Layered Analysis)
- Exceptional communication skills for influencing C-suite and technical stakeholders
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed futures journals or industry publications
- Experience managing innovation budgets exceeding $5M annually
