Responsibilities
- Develop 5-10 year strategic technology roadmaps for post-2026 innovation horizons
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping emerging technologies (quantum AI, biocomputing, neural interfaces)
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify disruptive opportunities
- Design ethical frameworks for advanced autonomous systems and human-AI symbiosis
- Secure $10M+ in R&D funding through visionary grant proposals and investor pitches
- Author white papers and keynote presentations at global technology summits
- Mentor next-generation engineers in speculative technology development
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Quantum Physics, or Futurist Studies (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years in R&D leadership with 5+ years in emerging tech strategy
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough technologies from concept to market
- Expertise in at least three of: quantum computing, neuromorphic engineering, synthetic biology, or climate tech
- Experience securing $5M+ in government/venture funding for speculative projects
- Fluency in future forecasting methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning)
- Portfolio of visionary technology patents or conceptual frameworks
