Responsibilities
- Design and implement ethical governance frameworks for autonomous AI systems
- Lead cross-functional research projects on algorithmic bias mitigation
- Develop predictive models for long-term societal impacts of AI deployments
- Establish industry-wide ethical standards through white papers and open-source initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers in applied ethics methodologies
- Collaborate with product teams to embed ethical principles into development lifecycles
- Represent the company at global AI ethics forums and regulatory discussions
Qualifications
- PhD in Philosophy, Computer Science, Ethics, or related field with 5+ years AI ethics experience
- Published research in top-tier AI ethics or responsible AI journals
- Expertise in bias detection/mitigation techniques and fairness metrics
- Proficiency in Python/R for ethical algorithm development and auditing
- Experience with regulatory frameworks (EU AI Act, NIST RMF)
- Proven track record of translating ethical principles into technical specifications
- Exceptional communication skills for complex technical-ethical concepts
