Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger maintenance
- Develop and implement financial policies ensuring compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with accurate financial reporting
- Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital optimization strategies
- Collaborate with executive team on budget preparation, variance analysis, and strategic planning
- Supervise accounting staff and mentor financial professionals in daily pay implementation
- Drive continuous process improvements in financial systems and reporting mechanisms
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- Minimum 7 years progressive accounting experience with 3+ years in controller role
- Expertise in financial reporting, audit compliance, and multi-state tax regulations
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel
- Proven track record in implementing daily pay or alternative compensation structures
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
- Excellent leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of Colorado Springs corporate finance landscape preferred
