Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 innovation strategy roadmap with measurable KPIs
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen technologies (quantum computing, neural interfaces, climate tech)
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging market disruptions and opportunities
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D budget through stakeholder presentations and ROI modeling
- Establish partnerships with MIT Media Lab, Singularity University, and other future-focused institutions
- Mentor 10+ innovators through Horizon's Future Fellowship program
- Publish quarterly trend reports influencing C-suite decisions
Qualifications
- 10+ years in innovation strategy or product development with 5+ in leadership
- Proven track record launching at least two industry-disrupting products/services
- Expertise in emerging technologies (AI, synthetic biology, quantum computing)
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Business, or Futurism preferred
- Experience with scenario planning and strategic foresight methodologies
- Strong presentation skills with executive board experience
- Published thought leadership in innovation or future studies
- Fluency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and AI platforms
