Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and technology forecasting for 2026-2030, identifying disruptive innovations with commercial potential
- Develop strategic roadmaps integrating emerging technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AR/VR) into core business operations
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops with engineering, product, and marketing teams to align technology adoption with market demands
- Conduct competitive analysis and due diligence on emerging startups and technologies
- Present technology strategy to executive leadership and external stakeholders
- Build partnerships with research institutions, government labs, and innovation accelerators
- Monitor ethical and societal implications of emerging technologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or R&D leadership
- Proven experience in emerging technologies (quantum, AI, biotech, or space tech)
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business with technology focus
- Exceptional strategic thinking with ability to translate complex concepts into actionable plans
- Strong stakeholder management skills with executive presence
- Published research or patents in emerging technologies preferred
- Experience with scenario planning and technology roadmapping methodologies
